online Folders in Glasscubes, without using subdirectories and folders!
on 3 November 2009Posted by Wayne Pope
We don't believe in subdirectories. We feel that they actively encourage multiple versions of documents to exist in different locations and force a user to decide where it should go, which may be a different location to where someone else might choose to look or put it.
Yet the theory is crucial to any file sharing strategy.
Therefore in Glasscubes we've allowed you to apply labels to your files which means that you can tag, browse and search for the label and restrict your search results to documents with a similar label. You can have more than one label per document and this allows you to group them together simply, without creating multiple versions.
